2022 City of Austin Runoff Elections – Endorsements

November 11, 2022 –

For the December City of Austin Runoff Elections, the Austin Firefighters Association (AFA) has endorsed Kirk Watson for Mayor and Jose Velasquez for District 3.

In District 5 and District 9, the AFA has carefully vetted the runoff candidates and believes that both of the D5 and D9 runoff candidates will be favorable on public safety issues. Therefore, for District 5, the AFA will endorse both Stephanie Bazan and Ryan Alter and for District 9 the AFA will endorse both Linda Guerrero and Zohaib “Zo” Qadri.
